Assessments (Exams/Quiz) 60%                                               90 – 100% A

Laboratory & Project Work   60%                                               80 – 89% B

Assignments/Homework/Participation 40%                            70 – 79% C

Progress reports will be prepared at the 3 week point or upon request by student.

Test/Quiz Policy

There will be at least one test per unit per 3 weeks, depending on the unit size. There will also be 1 cumulative 9 week test. These tests will cover anything that has been discussed previous to the test, including laboratory work, handouts, and material from the book.  There will be at least 2 weeks notice of each test, so plan accordingly. Tests, quizzes and due dates will be posted on my website.

Reassessments:

The District shall permit a student who meets the criteria detailed below a reasonable opportunity to redo an assignment or retake a test for which the student received a failing grade in all classes. In order for a student to qualify for a reassessment, the following must occur:

 

· Student must have made below a 70 on the original assessment

· The student must request to retest

· Student must attend tutoring at least one time

· Reassessment must take place within 5 school days after the below 70 grade is received

· Highest grade on a reassessment will be a 70

 

***If you miss a test or quiz due to an absence, you will be required to make it up with me, and it is your responsibility to set up a time with me.  If you do not make up a test within a week of your absence, or a quiz within 2 school days, you will be given the score of zero.

Homework will not be assigned.
