Late work:

Late work must be accepted for all courses with a penalty. Late work will not be accepted more than 3 days after the due date. The penalty shall not exceed 10 points per day for late work.

1 day late = -10 points

2 days late = -20 points

3 days late = -30 points

4 days late = not accepted

 

Tardies

 Students are expected to be in class working in their journals when the tardy bell rings. Reporting to class in a timely manner is important for success. Those students who are not in class when the last bell rings will not be permitted into class without a tardy pass.

 

The Rules         

1. RESPECT – yourself, your teachers, your peers, and your school

2. Raise your hand when contributing to class discussions*

3. Arrive to class on time, prepared to learn and work cooperatively

 – bring all necessary materials, assignments, etc.

4. Only use language that is appropriate for a professional environment

5. Electronic devices are not permitted

 

If You Choose To Break A Rule:

 First Offense: Verbal Warning           

Second Offense: Brief discussion with me after class

Third Offense: Action Plan* filled out; parents/guardians notified/Detention

Fourth Offense: Student sent to discipline office & parents/guardians called for a conference

Severe Disruption: Student sent immediately to the discipline office

 

***Please note that, in accordance with Anderson-Shiro policy, if I see any electronic devices (phones, iPods, games, etc.), I will take them without warning and turn them into the discipline office.  If you choose not to give these items to me, you will be sent to the discipline office and your parents/guardians will be notified.
